I have always believed that at the heart of every great technological solution lies a simple, logical answer to a complex business problem. From troubleshooting on a helpdesk to architecting Generative AI platforms as a VP today, my career has been defined by a relentless drive to bridge the gap between "what's next" and "what works."
My entry into IT was as hands-on as it gets. I began with an HND in Business Information Technology, which led to a place on a pilot sandwich-year scheme. I spent that year on the front lines as a Helpdesk Technician, gaining a vital foundation in user needs and systems before returning to university.
I completed my education with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Information Systems, receiving the Fujitsu Special Award for the best networking project. The impact I made during my placement year was clear: I was immediately invited back to the same organisation to begin my professional career as a Junior IS Engineer.
Since those early days, I’ve spent over two decades evolving alongside the industry—moving from the early days of core networking and virtualisation to the forefront of DevOps and Generative AI.
The discipline I bring to technology was forged long before I entered a data centre. As a teenager, I was a two-time British Indoor Archery Champion, a sport where success is measured in millimetres and depends entirely on focus, consistency, and calm under pressure. I bring that same "bullseye" mentality to every technical architecture I design today.
Outside of the office, you’ll usually find me following motorsport. I have a lifelong passion for anything with a motor and a high-performance edge; I appreciate the engineering required to keep complex machines running at their limit.
While I am driven by results and the "bottom line," I have never lost sight of the human element of leadership. From being awarded the R.I. Wade Cup at school for showing concern for others, to mentoring global teams today, I prioritise building trustworthy, productive relationships.
I give 100% to everything I undertake. I lead by example, basing decisions on data and fact, not emotion. Whether I’m navigating the rigors of GDPR, ISO27K, or JSOX compliance or diving into RAG architectures, I ensure that the most complicated assignments are delivered with precision, on time, and within budget.
